FAFFING AWAY TO GLORY

" Here's something to make you think for a while concerning the property which an adjective has if it does not apply to itself. Like 'wee' is a wee word but 'big' is not a big word. Similarly 'multi-syllabled' is multi-syllabled but 'mono-syllabled' is not. 'English' is english but 'French' is not french. Therefore lets use the term 'heterological' for the property of bieng non-self-applicable, so we can say that 'big' and 'French' are heterological, for instance, and we can write as a general definition: 'x' is heterological if and only if 'x' is not x. But clearly, substituting 'heterological' for 'x' produces a contradiction. Does this contradiction mean that there is no such concept as heterologicality?
Do you know why I had to fill that space up there with semi-faff? Because otherwise I would have the shortest tough e4 in Mindsport history, consisting of only five words. Here it is: Why are wet spots dark? "
